In this intensive, we’ll explore a variety of movement dynamics and textures, breaking down what makes movement feel smooth, sharp, grounded, suspended, elastic, controlled, explosive, and more. Starting with solo movement exercises, we’ll build awareness of body mechanics, musical interpretation, and intention before translating those ideas directly into a West Coast Swing partnership. You’ll learn how to recognise different movement qualities in music, embody them in your own dancing, and integrate them into connection, timing, and partnered movement. Whether you want more creativity, clarity, or versatility in your dance, this class will help you move with greater purpose and musical expression!
